General Objective

Disseminate the findings of the study with RCM Member Countries participating in the study, representatives of RNCOM and other counterparts of interest. 

Specific Objectives 

1. Discuss the needs of RCM Member Countries participating in the study to strengthen the governance of labour migration.
2. Present roadmaps to strengthen migratory labor traceability systems in the countries participating in the study.
3. Provide recommendations for the institutional and legal strengthening of migration management in the region.
4. Define priority actions at the regional level, in accordance with the needs identified in the study. 

General objective: 

Strengthen the capacities of local governments to improve migration governance from a 
comprehensive approach.
 

Specific objectives 
 

1. Strengthen the institutional capacities of local governments to contribute to data collection and access 
   to information for good migration management.
2. Facilitate exchange and share good practices of local government contribution to migration 
   governance and the protection of migrants.
3. Promote alliances between central and local governments for the care and protection of migrants in 
   vulnerable situations.

General objective:

Promote the implementation of international labour standards for seafarers.
 

Specific objectives:
 

• To understand the roles of public and private organizations in the flag state, port state and 
  worker supply state in the implementation of the MLC, 2006.
• To deepen the protection of seafarers based on the implementation of the MLC, 2006.
• To elaborate on the implications of the ratification of the MLC, 2006 for countries. 

General Objective:
 

Share best practices in immigration regularization in different countries, based on the development of 
sustainable actions with long-lasting and replicable effects.
 

Specific Objectives:
 

1. To learn about the mechanisms for the regularization of migrants as a way of managing 
   migratory flows within the framework of human rights.
2. To present good practices in regulatory frameworks, programs and actions focused on the 
   regularization of migrants and persons subject to international protection.
3. Identify challenges and opportunities of regularization mechanisms for migrants.

Objective of the webinar: 

To return the systematized results of the V Congress organized by the Presidency Pro-Témpore of Panama in 2023 and to socialize ideas for the creation of the VI edition to be held in 2024.
